Abstract Still Life
Good Morning,
It's the first Monday of the month so the Art blog today is practical. It takes you one step at a time from drawing a simple still life into a beautiful abstract piece using marker pens or felt tips.
Both felt tips and marker pens are understated. They can be so effective and layered to create stunning artworks.
A.S.K News:-
Louie the Shih Tzu... The dog sitting is going well and it's great to have a dog in the studio again. However, he snores so has kept us awake numerous times!!
He is very cute and loves a cuddle and fuss.
Workshops:
The workshops are filling up, this week's Trees and Flowers in pen & ink washes is full which is fantastic, I'm really looking forward to it.
There is still room for the Valentine's Prosecco, Chocolate & Paint on Saturday 12th February. This is from 1-4 pm, and for anyone & everyone. You don't have to be attached to enjoy the workshop. Paint, drink Prosecco, eat chocolate and listen to anti-romantic music...a lovely Saturday afternoon.
Please call or email to book a space/s.
Enjoy the practical and please let me know how you get on.

Set up a still life, this could be a couple of bottles, glasses, cups, vases... anything that takes your fancy.
Zoom into a section and make a simple pencil drawing.
Using marker pens or felt tips add colour.
The pens can be layered to create different tones.
