Welcome to my weekly blog & Happy Monday 15th November.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend whether it was fun-packed or chilled out.
Today's Blog is about the annual Christmas tree festival in Retford, which, I'm involved with.
It gives all the details, timings etc and the photograph is of a previous festival.
First, we have the news from A.S.K.
There are only 3 sessions left before the end of the year. Do you have a painting or drawing you're working on but need advice on tap in an inspirational studio/ gallery?
The sessions are on Thursday 18th November, 2nd & 16th December 2 -4 pm.
Only £12.00 per session.
I am busy planning experimenting. They will be on the website in early December for next year.
Kids' Christmas extravaganza:-
This afternoon workshop is for 7 - 13-year-olds on Saturday 11th December 1-4 pm.
It involves making painted Christmas cards, paper snowflakes, and Christmas baubles.
A really creative, festive & fun afternoon.

Watercolour & Baileys Coffee Experience
This is a festive twist on the watercolour & cream tea experience for November & December.
The two-hour session involves painting in watercolours, drinking a hot Baileys coffee, eating Christmas cake and mince pies... what's not to love?
All for £28.00 per person or 2 for £50. A great break from the madness that is Christmas.
Christmas Art Exhibition @ the Hub, Retford
This is at the Hub in Retford, Cannon Square, Retford, DN22 6 PB from the 18th of November. It is showcasing Art and crafts by local artists for 4 weeks up till Christmas. I will be exhibiting 4 paintings and also have a 'craft' table.
There will be glass paintings and prints for sale on the table.
Have a fantastic week.
Christmas Tree Festival
This Friday 19th November I will be erecting my A.S.K Christmas tree at St Swithun's Church, Chapelgate, Retford, DN22 6PL.
It is the annual Christmas tree festival.
Local businesses, schools & organisations are invited to decorate their tree.
It is a fantastic event that showcases talent, originality & creativity. The range of trees, decorations & lights is pretty overwhelming.
It is open from Saturday 20th - Saturday 27th November 10 am - 5 pm. The last festival was in 2019, it had over 100 trees. The number is reduced this year to enable social distancing.
Refreshments are available throughout the day.
The festival coincides with Retford Christmas Market and lights switch-on Sunday 21st November 10 am - 6 pm.
My tree has been crafted from wood by my talented husband Darrell. The ornaments are all Art related & have been created by me.
If you would like to come along there is a small entrance fee, it is definitely worth a visit.
I will be at the church Monday 22nd November, 12 - 2 pm helping with refreshments &, Thursday 25th November, 12 - 2 pm welcoming visitors.
It would be great to see you there. I will post photos on my website and Facebook if you can't make it.
See you soon, have a great week.
