23rd & 24th April
Pop Art Retro Workshop in Printing & Painting
A wonderful weekend's workshop in my beautiful garden studio in the market town of Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.
After a warm welcome and a cup of coffee/ tea, we spend the morning experimenting and learning about lino printing and mixed media.
We cover lino cutting, printing & looking at Pop Art from the 1960's/70's. In particular the works of Pop Artisits Andy Warhol & Roy Lichtenstein.
You will learn how to layer colours using cutting tools and printing inks.
We stop for a light homecooked lunch with a glass of wine, this gives us the opportunity to chat and discuss the morning's events.
In the afternoon we continue to experiment in the studio/ gallery.
The day ends with cake, tea/ coffee or a glass of prosecco.
Sunday is the day we put everything you've learned into a final piece. The day is spent creating a beautiful Print influenced by Pop Art on a wooden board to take away with you.
We stop for a light lunch and a glass of wine which is included.
The weekend ends with a plenary and a coffee/ tea.
